Default A moment out of the special bond

Understanding, loving, secretive, argumentative, helping and complete. Many ways to describe the strong bond between a Mother and Daughter. Was always difficult to encode especially being a guy.

Apparently this is my first attempt at portraits after being into snapshots for long. As a subject, I wanted to capture the importance of Women in family. Here, my Mom and Sis form the core of our family and I just caught them sitting together and chatting about something, which I still don't know .

Just for my curiosity, which one of these 2 do you like? This will help me in my future shoots where I know what to expect out of the subject.

Soul of Family

A Moment

Thanks All.

Looks like you interrupted a serious conversation! I think I prefer the first because you can more of each face. Hope that helps!

Hi dr shiva. These are two very nice portraits. With regard to your question. I think from what you tell us about what you were trying to achieve. I think that the first one deffinitely tells the better story. Nice work dr shiva.

Thats a nice point Jake. Presuming that I has not given the background, would the first one still score as better one?

Since I know the whole situation under which this was photographed, its tough for me to look at it from any other angle. What do you all think the first portrait conveys (minus my explanation)?

Now you have put me on the spot. Ok. In the first one, maybe, it was a private converstion which you should not have interupted and maybe mum was right and sis didn't think that she was. But, after your interuption. Maybe they were both right and just have a smile about it. Hope you understood what I was trying to say here. I am probably wrong, but we all see things different based on our own lifestyle. Photography lets us use our imagination in our own way.

Jake.

hmm.. let me see what I think.. the first shot is the best among the two.. it just has that feel that you are trying to convey something through it and makes me wonder what it is.. it keeps me glued to the pic..

now.. without your explanation.. I actually thought that it's a mother and daughter-in-law conversation.. maybe because your sis had her head bent down.. as if she dis-agrees with what you mother did.. or isn't pleased with your mom or what she's saying.. also because.. i know that my sis never helped my mother in the kitchen.. and if they have a dis-agreement.. I always see them arguing no matter what.. untill one of them just gives up.. lol.. I think an expression on your sis face would also say a lot of things of what you would like to convey..

now.. the picture also raises some questions regarding your mother.. why did she look around.. is it that she doesn't want anyone else to listen to their conversation.. is she saying something to you..?? Also, what does the expression on your mothers face mean.. because she doesn't seem to be happy either.. Is she unhappy with the way things are turning out.. ??

hmm.. hope I made some sense.. lol..
