Default same thing only different

Nothing really new, but certainly different for me..

First up , playing with my 2x converter at the beach and a little chick came to check me out..
400MM Doh !
was not expecting to shoot so close, a few adjustments and I got him, manual focus Like Haywood ! , F8 1/60 400mm and about 4 feet away !!

next up a flock of Geese, FLYING NORTH !! for the summer, great sign to see .. getting warmer here !!

Spring Migrations
( credit to Beachcomber's keep it simple style I've seen many times )

I went to the beach for the sunset, had some wispy clouds, I have a thing for black and orange,, this is pretty much SooC, I'm not sure why I really like these types so much.. this one had some smoke like clouds at the top

Smokey Sunset

and as I was leaving the beach, rolled down the window, stopped my pickup on the bridge and got a nice shot, this one's a straight conversion ( and there was noone in front or behind me on the road lol )
Out the Window
tilted horizon cause I was on a bridge lol .. too lazy to straighen.

Some decent, some great, some ok, downloading is like a box of chocolates, never know what your gonna get, thanks for taking a look ,

Vin

Nice series of images. Those house sparrows let you get real close.

we all long for things we dont see every day. The beach for instance. I would drive over a frog for a chance to shoot scense like this!

Lovely, lovely, Vin. Fantastic work on the closeup, great detail in there (even viewed large on Flickr!). And your sunset scenes make me happy...always. The colors here are so varied and I can see you took your time shooting these. The silhouettes of the geese make me think of the movie "Fly Away Home". Well done, my friend.

All are very nice - and the detail and sharpness in that 1st one (from 4 feet??!!) is amazing.

That 1st shot is exactly why I would love a 2x converter. The sunset is spectacular and the geese shot is great as well. Another nice series of shots

Another excellent set Vin. That bird has some excellent detail. You are having a lot of fun with the new lens. Once again you give us your great take on sunsets. You have a style all of your own when it comes to sunsets. Just goes to show how other people on this site can improve our techniques. Haward for the bird with the manual focus and Beach with the keep it simple. But at the end of the day. It is the person with the camera that gives it the finishing touch. I love your captures buddy. Keep em coming.
