Default Snow Day In The Park

We had a nice wet snow last weekend. It was one of those that was literally here today and nearly gone tomorrow. I went to one of our local parks and took a photo/walk. I was all alone with the snow, birds and cold. It was truly great!

Faux Snow Pond_Edited

This looks like a pond, but it is really a parking lot! I call it "Faux Snow Pond."

Cedars In The Snow_Edited

A beautifully snow covered walk through the cedars.

I'm not sure you can take a bad picture of a Cardinal. I should have done a lot better with the exposure, but I was cold. Sorry, I promise to do better this summer.

Have a good weekend,

F4

It must be pretty cool ( no pun intended ) to be able to just go for a walk and see snow like this , there are very few places in Australia where it is cold enough to snow and thats for a fairly short period of time and you need to lose an arm or leg to pay for it . Another great example of the DPS travel plan, holiday through the eyes of another photographer .Great images thanks for sharing

Three very nice snowy shots wildcat. Wow when is everyone going to see spring? Love them all, but my favourite is the last one. A little bit of colour with the bird through the white snow. Nice work.

Jake.

Thanks Jake, It is going to be about 73 degrees Fahrenheit today. Monday, freezing and traces of snow! I'm sooooo ready for a warm spring!

Well thanks Brad. What I wouldn't give to tour Australia! Of course that trip would cost me both legs and one arm, you'd have to carry me through the "Outback" on a photo walk.
If you ever make it to Wichita, and it's spring, we'll chase a thunderstorm.

Later mate!

I love the Cardinal pic. It appears you took the pic while it was still snowing. I've also had trouble taking longer distance shots when it's still snowing, as you focus one instant, then some out-of-control snowflake passes right through your field of view.
