Default Portugal

What beautiful shots. I now live in the Algarve and just love Portugal. Your shots have shown me an area that I would love to visit and will attempt to this year. Portugal seems to be very "under photographed". There are some fantastic areas in the Algarve which I am now exploring, wonderful scenes in the Alantajao, rugged landscapes on the Western coast and, as you have indicated, great mountain scenes too. Thanks for letting us all now more about this wonderful country.

Hi Glayva-it does amaze me that many, many people from Europe don't even know where Portugal is-they think it's somewhere in Spain!!
I've travelled all over the mainland many times and never tire of the country. Something that's easy to do and very inexpensive is to use the train network.............from Oporto along the Douro valley to Pinhão-then local trains up into the wine tarraces..............stunning.

Glad you live there now and look forward to your pictures as well.

Sorry didn't mean to troll....I love the first 3 shots (particularly the first, almost looks like a scene from a movie). The one with the snow I can do without, I've had enough snow this winter Can't wait for warmer months.

I'm due for a trip back to the mainlands now that photography interests me. There are just too so much history to capture in Portugal.
