Default Still Life - China "Doll"

Well, this challenge was a lot of fun and a little frustrating because I tried many different compositions and could never get the items positioned artfully...So, I resorted to what I have done here. I have no backdrops or lighting equipment so parts are underexposed but I so wanted to join in the fun on this thread.

Chinese Dress
Camera: Canon EOS 40D
Exposure: 0.1 sec (1/10)
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal Length: 50 mm
ISO Speed: 200
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Flash: Flash fired
Software: Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0 Windows
Date and Time: 2009:01:18 15:53:29
Exposure Program: Aperture priority
Handheld

Thanks for looking!

Chicago Cub fans are perhaps the most loyal fans in the world. Very cute post.

Jayne, Surprising, huh? The assignment is more complex than it seems. So many questions: what to keep? what to take out? does this texture fit? do these colors go together? I'm so glad you made the effort and your result is just great. The colors are vibrant and your background provides a wonderful space for your figurine. Well done!

I just saw CHOCOLATE at first. Not until I read "except the mice" did I see them. Thanks for joining the thread with your yummy photo.
