misteral: i didn't do anything for the lighting. it was all outdoors with a cloudy sky. i think i understood your question correctly? hehe

Great shots!!

My advice would be to get a Flash and bracket with umbrella ad experiment. You can get some great "fill" effects and breakup the picture with a little more depth and contrast. Do you shoot "RAW" files? If you do, this helps when you postprocess the pics. You have a lot of options and usually you get more picture than what you thought you had. An assistant would be great too. To hold reflectors or extra spot-lights that might also increase depth as well. You made fantastic first shoots. Now do a little research, then lets see your second! Thanks for sharing....

thanks for the suggestions. it's definitely something i want to improve. i guess i have to save up money for equipment. my friend mentioned using a car sunshade for reflectors.. hehe and of course, all my friends volunteered their services for the next time i have a photo shoot
