I was shooting at 50mm f/1.8 all day yesterday with a set of tubes doing Macro shots.

I know there'll be times when I'll need different focal lengths. It would be a good exercise for a day's photo outing though.

I'm in the same boat as HockeyFan... planning to take photos of the fireworks tomorrow. Might be a little hard to move my tripod to take different shots instead of simply zooming in and out. Will try to stick to the 50mm on Saturday and Sunday though.

Default Nice idea!

I use a lot of primes. I found them actually through indoor action, where zooms just didn't have the capability to catch enough light. After that, I have used the primes a lot on other occasions too.

Between 50mm, 85mm or 135mm would be the decision. A hard one. Or maybe the wide end zoom at a fixed 14mm?

I'm taking the challenge. I use my kit 18-55 alot so I put my 50mm on and went to a fireworks show last night in the park. This is my first time ever shooting fireworks and after reading so many 'how tos' on this site I DID IT! I am soooo hooked, I love this! I'm shooting all weekend with my 50mm that's it!

Default I attempted it for 2 days

I used my 50mm/f1.8 lens for two days, which also means I had to do manual focus only on my D40x. Since I didn't want to fiddle around with manual focus at the cookout today, I switched to my 18-55.

Default Stuck at 10mm

I stuck my 10-22mm lens at the wide end for the entire weekend. Here is the first result, my threesixtyfive for saturday:

threesixtyfive | day 308

We've been shopping for a new bed at IKEA, and succeeded! We now own a new bed that doesn't sag in the middle, and doesn't cost thousands of €€€ either.

If Canon would make a 10mm prime, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
