He is so neat and your exposure is spot on and that was a tricky shoot with the white gator and dark background. Good job!

I agree with pinball - these guys are VERY RARE in the wild all of the reasons he listed as well as the fact that when they are young they are easily spotted by predators - was this a captivity shot? It's a beautiful image -great detail and color! If you're ever in the Palm Beach area they have a big albino gator at the Palm Beach zoo...unfortunately he's behind glass and in a pretty unnatural exhibit but it's possible to get some cool shots.

The eye covers are eerie, and with the white teeth and claws... What a creature, good shoot to.

This guy must have been captive. Any that color, in the wild, would be poached and made into boots and luggage prior to reaching maturity. If he was in the wild, don't tell anyone where you found him. I personally think he's better looking as a "Live" gator. Great shot, and thanks for sharing.

The Leucistic Gators look even cooler! They are not without pigment just white in color....hence the rarity of them. They still have the dark blue eyes....
I'd love to see one of these in the wild.

Yep he was in captivity at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm. I think they have two of them in a separate area from all the other gators. I only had my longest lens, so I could only get head shots. Their is a swamp area in the back of the park that is over run with Egret nests. Photographers come from all over the world to shoot them this time of year because the babies are hatching. I got some killer shots of them too. This is the only other shot of the gator I got.

Absolutely AMAZING reptile and the shot too! I love the red outline of his/her eyes, and how it contrasts againsts the white body.

Really wonderful shot!!

At the World Wildlife Zoo here, they have 4 white gators. Saw them on a recent trip there. Wasn't able to get pictures, becuz they are behind a glass enclosure.

It's nice being able to see them up close though. Thanks for sharing.
