Default My green backyard

Vale verde / Green Valley

The view from my backyard is quite simple.
But my front view is great. I live in a hill facing the valley of the low Mondego river (Portugal), with the medieval castle of Montemor-o-Velho at my left and 180º to right the mountains beyond the city of Coimbra.

Montemor-o-Velho

From my room I can see my backyard and this medieval castle

Default Wombat on duty.

This guy lives on the doorstep, purely so that people can wipe their shoes on him before entering the house. We tried using a live wombat originally, but he'd never stay still and would occasionally gnaw the wipee's foot off at the ankle.
