I personally like the first one better. The focus looks nicer. The second one looks a bit odd, perhaps because of the angle the flower was at. I'm not sure.
Either way, I like them. :]

wow, what is that? the first one is much better, that second one is out of focus, or rather the most interesting part of the flower is out of focus. for the first i think it would have looked better with a slightly deeper depth of field to have the back of the flower in focus, coz right now it looks quite one dimensional. very interesting subject though!

I agree with the others, the first shot is the better shot.

Great colours tho.

I will also go with the first shot, when I first looked at it I thought 'What The' so it keep me interested for a while trying to work out what it was, the second one I thought oh yeah another flower.
