Are you shooting these through viewing holes or through the glass?

The first is through the glass. The other two I shoot from an area that gets me a view just above the glass.
and then other shots within the photoset, are from a place between the two team benches, which has no glass in front of it.

What gear are you using for the shots above the glass? The only hockey team I have here are the Predator's, which don't allow pro gear and you have to be a Getty photographer to get a pass. I'm thinking about bringing my 100mm (which is probably just small enough to be allowed in) and just trying to get down in one of the corner view holes during warm-ups if there are no photographers down there.

My best chances for no glass are there practices, which are cool, but not as cool as an actual game wearing there official jerseys.

I shoot for Prohockeynews.com and occassional write. Plus I have a friend that writes. As a result, the CHL gives us a pass to all the CHL arenas and we have full access.
Honestly though, the CHL arenas that I've been to are photographer-friendly, so it's not much of an issue. The only time I can't shoot in that arena is during WMBA games. That league and our local team are jerks about it,

Wish we had a smaller team around here. I was able to shoot training camp and All Star game of the New Mexico Mustangs this past summer, but there isn't much here not pro in Nashville that I can get access to just yet. I'd like to try and get access to the Mustangs when I am back in Santa Fe, but my work schedule will prevent me from making arrangements before the night of the game.

Nice you are able to do that, and get some great shots.

You might check to see if there's any junior hockey around. Its faster than college hockey and they often allow people to photograph. I was photographer for a junior team for 3 seasons and got access every home game. I shot from a real nice place in the rink.
