Brady - Nose grind

Just a photo of my friend doing a nosegrind in a carpark. I am an ametuer, only 14 years old, but feel free to be harsh as I want to improve as much as possible Thanks!

Camera - Canon EOS 1000D
Lens - Canon EF 28-80mm
Shutter Speed - 1/200s
Aperture - f/5.6
Zoom - 80mm
Flash - Vivitar DF383 on triggers to camera's left.

My honest opinion is you did very well. Looking at the picture I can't see much about it that I dont like. The subject is well illuminated, it's sharp enough, and good composition. I think it would be a blast to shoot skateboarders. A nice closeup of a midair ollie would be cool.
The only thing I might change is clone those white signs off the cement wall.
Hope you don't mind my editing

There you go, less distractions more focus on the rider!

Nicely shot my friend!

Nice shot, I understand that the best skateboarding shots are taken with a fisheye lens.

Thanks very much to both of you.

MOmilkman - great editing, and I agree it looks much better without the signs.

Kirbinster - Fisheyes do looks great for skateboarding, I'm currently saving up for one

Awesome man! Nice capture! You are doing it the right way, starting young! I used to skateboard when I was 14. I couldn't do any nose grinds but still!!
