Default Thanksgiving Surfing

Well I have done a bit of photo work this weekend and found a shot that intrigured me to try something new. Below is a shot of a Surfer riding down the length of the wave. I have cropped out a bit of the picture to just show him riding the wave lengthwise. Seemed like a good way to frame it for my eyes. What do you all think? Also I have tweeked with the brightness and contrast a bit to help bring the photo out more. Does it look like it may need a bit more work?

EXIF Data:
Camera: Canon EOS 50D
Shutter Speed: 1/1600 sec
F-Stop: f/5.6
Aperature Value: f/5.7
ISO: 1250
Focal Length: 135.0mm

I welcome the feedback, thanks again for your time

I think it is a great idea, although the aspect ratio makes it hard to view. To see it with any detail, I have to scroll across the screen. If it is sized to fit, it is hard to see.

The printed image might be a very different story though. I could see this as a great image sitting on a desk or tacked to a cube wall as something to look at and enjoy.

i think its a great shot of him surfing, and the waves look fantastic, but you might have increased the contast a bit much. The dude looks orange.
other than that, well done!

Default Thanks

Thanks for the advice! Thanks for the contrast info, I am a colorblind (red/green) so these color images give me a slight issue.

I love the concept. It would make a wonderful print. As indicated above, the color is off as to skin tone. And for me, ideally, I would love a sharper image of the surfer. But these are quibbles, you've come up with a dramatic way of showing this surfer riding his wave.
