Default Skateboarding

Tomas

I have been playing around with trying to capture motion blur. I think I came close in this shot. What do you think? Do you think the subject is in focus enough? Would a different background make a better blur? Any comments, suggestions welcomed. Thank you for looking.
Shutter speed 1/30 sec
no flash

The subject looks like they are nicely in focus. Even if the subject has some blur you can have a successful pan shot. I shoot mountain biking events and trees makes for some super cool blurred backgrounds. I would also say play around abit more, dont be afraid to slow that shutterspeed even more, you will be amazed by your results. Nice job!!

Looks very good. The fence makes for a really nice background along with the super-green grass. I keep getting a bit distracted from the skateboarder because of the ramp, but maybe that's just me.

As far as the motion blur it's perfect and the focus is right on.

I think you did a great job with this shot. It is difficult to have a sharp subject, which you have here, and also achieve the motion blur. I would straighten in a little since there seems to be a slight tilt to the right and then crop to the top of the fence.

Looks good, I would try getting a little closer or crop this one tighter to make the subject stand out more.
Btw..haha, I believe he's setting up for a kick flip or maybe F.S 180 flip !

Good shot
