Hey guys, I'm a graphic design student, and checked out a 20d for a day. I went to clearwater beach to do some longboarding with friends, and we stopped at a bridge to ride and take some shots. Here is my favorite with some photoshop work.
I took this at about 5:30, with a halfway overcast sky. ![]() Here's my critique: Shot at iso 800, and legs look very noisy, as does the rest of the picture at 100%. If I could have been there an hour earlier I think it would look much better. I wish I had some more space at the top. I don't like the dark green in the background, I think if I went to the other side I could have gotten some buildings and the water. Do you think my self-critique points are correct? I appreciate any other comments and critiques, no matter how good or bad! Thanks! |

My biggest issue is the crop. The head is so close to being wacked off but there is still space on the bottom. Just doesnt seem to balance.
It might be my monitor but the skin tones looks kinda blue. An easy fix in post. What were the rest of your camera settings???
