Default Casting a fly to a rising fish on Lake Huntsman

I know this shot is cliched, but I really love the fly fishing shots that capture the huge "S" that the fly line makes as it passes gracefully across the sky before landing in front of a feeding fish. I wish I could get the white line to contrast better with the blue sky.

Because it all happens so quickly, I used the burst function to capture the line in the air.

I should probably sort the rotation out a bit too.. Any ideas?

It looks like you were standing waist deep in water too!

I'd have a play with the horizon - there are two ways to go with it - either straighten it out, or really crank it over to make it look very deliberate. You might like to see how it looks with the rod pointing from one corner of the shot to the other.

Great feedback Captain, yeah the horizon looks accidentally skewed, so either needs to be horizontal or as you say, really cranked. I was waist deep and had the camera down near the water....
