Try 1/500, maybe don't reduce the ISO. Depends on whether your highlights are clipping.

yea, if I go any brighter on the exposure the whites get blown out. That wouldn't be a bad thing tho, maybe I will try that and get better exposure on the face and what not.

That'll work and go into curves to bring down highlights.
