soccer can't be the easiest event to photograph....good work with the focus and exposure....

the framing is a bit tight and makes me feel like your subject is cramped......i might have gone a little wider.....there's a fair amount of yellow to this scene and it's a bit contrasty....what kind of post work did you do?

Th only post work was the cropping. I have the camera settings to vibrant which might account for the yellow or it could be how the "sunny" WB was set.

White balance is a little too yellow for my taste, but the light looks really pretty on this photo. Great shot! Drooling over the 2.8 lens you have there

I think the more yellow tones comes from the sun. You could do post work to reduce it but with the sun setting you can expect a certain tone to the photos.

I agree the yellow is purely from the low sun, as the white balance makes the white very white, so if you reduce the yellow in post, you are likely to make the white go too blue.

I think the cropping is good if you are trying to feature this particular girl, b/c it comes across more like a portrait shot, albeit with action. My daughter plays soccer, too, so I'd love to have captured her like this!

The color could use some adjustment...if you shot in RAW that would be easy to adjust in PP.

I would also recommend looking for the conflict between players during the match. Focus on a one on one moment. That would help add interest to the photo and capture the action.

The focal point is very nice. Would be interested to know how you where positioned...standing, laying down, etc. Changing that perspective could help add some interest.

The merged heads are a little odd, and it's not exactly peak action. Try getting lower too.

I would say change your angle. The person in the background is distracting to me. Her hair seems to be coming out of the person in the foregrounds face. I can tell there is another person there and the hair is "wrong" to me.

The focus is outstanding.
