Hey everyone, I'm very new to this and would love some feedback. I was hanging with my mates one night and took alot of pics like this with various setting, the lighting was pretty bad but I dont think this turned out to bad.

Nice attempt at this subject. You have a clear focus in the image, and the blurring is appropriate and adds to the story. However, the image is very centered, and I don't think it's appropriate in this case - try moving the subject off to the left or right according to the rule of thirds next time. Also, I would take this into an editing program of your choice and punch the contrast a little bit. It's mostly all gray, and with black and white shots in particular it's nice if you get the entire range, with pure white, pure black, and gray in between. Doing this would also help with what the previous commenter said, that the black and white treatment gave it a sense of stillness.
Thanks for posting! |

Thanks heaps for the feed back guys. I went with the B&W because the image was very grainy and not lit very well. I was alittle unsure on how to crop the image, I'll have another attempt at it using your advice cphoniball. Thanks again guys.
