Default Man On A Fast Horse!!!!!

#1.. OK I am new at this...I have read the rules ...and believe I have obey them all...if not PLEASE explain the one I violated… (in detail) ….since obviously I didn’t understand it.
This critique is the most important ….. I really do want to participate and I really need the help.

#2… “Man On A Fast Horse will never notice” …is an old saying about shoddy workmanship. This picture was shot at a combined speed of approx 100 – 130 mph one handed with out aiming. I shoot a lot of this type pictures and need help with them....... the driving is OK haven’t run into anyone in a long time.

#3…How should I pre set this camera in anticipation of this type of shot?

#4…And last how would you grade this shot on a scale of 1-4… (1 being best)…. and please be honest….. I would like to post some of my shots on Flicker and don’t want to appear as dumb ….as I really am…… about photography.

I would crop out the portion of your car that is in the lower right of the photo.

Also, I think it is a little out of focus. I know it would be hard to pick a spot and focus while driving as fast as you were but thats me.

Also there is no contrast between the mountain and the sky line. I am not GIMP/Photoshop expert but I believe there are things you can do to give it definition.

I would give it a 2 (but it's more than I have done as far as driving and shooting so you get bonus imagination points.)

I'm not a professional critic but the things that i notie about it are:
1. Lack of overall contrast.
2. My eye floats around the scene with no point to anchor the shot. ( this may be related to the lack of contrast.
Have you tried panning this shot? Keep focus on the truck while following it. Leasds to a blurred background.
Overall i feel the shot is about a 3.
It is worth posting on Flickr as you may recieve more comments.

Hmmm, now that's an interesting hobby, "....haven't run into anyone in a 'long' time..."
So, you HAVE hit someone while doing this?? I'm no rocket scientist but that does not seem too brilliant...
