Well, I'll drop one in for you.

It's not amazing like the shots you linked previously. I go with a tight group of guys that leave at 5:00 am. The sun rises into me for the first three hours of surf, (and after three hours their about done) if its not torrential rain. Usually the only time it's worth surfing is when a system shoots down from Korea raining and blustering all over the place.

I haven't found my golden shots with the lens yet, we've only been out once since i bought it. This year has been terrible - what luck. However I was able to do a whole days worth of fair shots in that one session. Those were sharp and easy to crop. Given the same conditions with other lenses previously, I can't do anything other than shout YES! for your recommendation.

Default btw....

Mater of fact I have this awful file on my PC I'd made through 2008 to try and convince my friends to surf in the afternoon. It kinda illustrates the problem with these damn soul surfers
