Default 2009 PDX Adult Soapbox Derby

I only got to shoot a few pictures at the Derby because my daughter insisted that she was in the race with her stroller. This is one of the better ones I took.



Do you think the crop could be a little closer? If you zoom on his face, he has an excellent expression.

Nice capture! I like the fact you panned and blurred out the background so it wouldn't distract from the driver. Also, you captured the rider going right into a sunbeam. Sweettttttttt!
Your eye automatically goes to the lightest part of the picture...which is the driver going into the light. The crop is just fine!!!!!!!

Thanks, Jim. I didn't think panning would be as hard as it is. I tried it with every soapbox that went by and this came out the best. It was a lot of fun. Kinda weird that every other person had a DSLR, though.
