I like it a lot, too. Good focus and depth of field, the blurred people in the background are important.
Only thing I would try to change is to remove the flare on the visor of his helmet, but that's a matter of taste. On one hand it brings out the sun (the shine of which is not obvious in the rest of the picture) on the other it hides the racers face.

I tried to take the flare off the visor and bring in the sun again by enhancing the flare on the helmet.
