Default Soccer Goal

I like this photo, but I know that there is always room for improvement. Thank you for helping me become a better photographer.

Love the concept, just find the white grass a bit distracting.

the photo is not bad.

just a small suggestion if u don't mind.

if you can position the ball in such a way where the whole goalpost can be seem, it may looks nicer?

I think so far everyone has provided the thoughts I have. Framing the ball with the entire goal would be the strongest composition in my mind. Try sliding the ball away from the white line and step back a little more from the ball to get the entire frame effect.

Thank you very much. You all have valid points that I wish I had seen when taking the picture, but I wouldn't be able to get better at photography if I were already perfect. Thank you again.

Default Following these will help you have a succesful post

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We want everyone to have fun and learn here at DPS. In order to insure that, there are some rules you need to follow when posting in the Critique sections:

Only ONE new critique request per day (24 hour period) for ENTIRE critique section. Choose your image carefully.
Please post only ONE image in the thread. If you need to show more, link it to your set. If you post more than one, the other will be deleted at the moderators discretion.
Please keep images to 800px on the longest side. Mods reserve the right to resize oversize images or delete them until resized. This is easy to put up the proper size if you use flickr. If you feel it is necessary for us to see a larger size, link to it.
We strongly encourage the use of a photosharing site such as flickr, photobucket, zoomr, etc.
Please include the following information, if possible, with your image: EXIF info, type of camera, specific questions (What do you think? is not a specific question). A meaningful title, NOT "Critique Please", will also get your post noticed in a crowded section.
Only post if you are willing to be critiqued - this isn't a place for showing off, but a place for people to suggest how you can improve. If you don't think you need to improve then this might not be the section of our forums for you.

Next time, go two or three steps back to have a little more space beside the ball and the goalpost, and to see the whole white stripe.

Good pic!

Yeah. I agree. The problem was that just outside of the frame were some distracting buildings, people and trees. I tried on further back, but they were just plain distracting. Thank you though. I will have to find another field to 'shoot' on. Thank you.

I think that this shot would be a lot more crisp if the ball was new (clean)
The turf, line& sky are all perfect. I like the DOF
