This shot was take at an Element Skateboard Demo the other night in Frederick, MD. I took some advise from my previous skateboard shot i posted and tried to get lower to catch more of the air the riders get. Did I accomplish this?

I think the angle is good - having him framed completely against the sky is very nice. I think you could've taken out a little of the headroom, it seems just a bit much. Where you framed the bottom of the image looks great. I would've panned to the right, placing the skater in the left, so that A. the box/ledge/water bottle on the left wouldn't be in the frame, and B. the rail would lead your eye into the image. Or shoot it vertical and tighter - it feels a bit loose.

I would say you caught it nicely. Seeing the end of the ramp, the board and the skater shows us movement, and we can see where he is going. If you had cropped it tighter, we could possibly be more attracted by the action of his posture, but we would loose the feeling of movement(i.e. where he is going when he lands).
Actually i think the builtin flash did the job this time, if you had used the sb800, you might have lightened too much of the background as well, whereas now you have put light on the skater and the obstacle. All things aside, what kind of trick is that? It looks like what call a "swedish ollie" in Denmark?

Not sure what it is called but "leaping the rail to land on the board again" he did this a few times before landing it. Thanks to everyone for their comments.

Ken,
Thanks I see what you mean with the ground leveling. It provides a smoother view for the viewer.
