Default Wakeboarding Trip

Me and a couple of buddies went wakeboarding this weekend so I decided to take a couple of shots. I was just wondering how I did on the framing and over all composition.

i think you did a great job on your exposure.....and your depth of field is nice and sharp on your buddy and his wake....but, i also think that the angle does nothing for the movement of this image......if it were aligned along the far shore that would have the skier leaning more forward......putting some "push" to the action......

I think it is a fun shot but i would have tryed to get him carving back towards the boat to put more action into the shot. Straightening the horizon may be a good thing too.

I agree with peeperita, the exposure is good and the wake has been captured sharp, which I like.

It looks as though you may have cropped the photo, if so revealing more of the wake and not having the subject in the middel of the shot could help with composition, possibly.

For some reason it seems like shorelines and horizons are the hardest thing to get straight right out of the camera so I agree with the above, level it out for sure.
It's a great pic but wakeboarding is such a great action sport. Capture the essence of the sport by getting him in the air.
I'm quite new to the DLSR world myself so this is all novice advice so I'm just throwing my 2 cents in and agreeing with the above.

Never the less, very sharp image. Good job.

Having just done a weeks worth of waterski shooting, I know exposure can be a challange with the sun angles changing as the boat pulls. Great job with the exposure. The horizon can easily be fixed in PP.

Nice job
