Shot at a local little league game where I am the leagues photographer. What are your thoughts on the crop? The original can be seen at Original

needs a tighter crop on the LH side and below the base.

I actually like your crop better than Jims. Horizontally I wouldn't change anything. Vertically maybe shift upwards just a wee bit so there's equal space above his head and below the base. I wouldn't actually crop anymore I think it's plenty tight.

I know you didn't ask about this, and it could be just my work monitor, but the colors seem a bit warm and oversaturated.

Being the leagues photographer is probably a pretty sweet gig. How did that come to be? There's a little league 10 minutes from my house I wonder if they have a dedicated photographer... Could be an excuse to get a long, fast lens and start practicing!

Just a follow up on Eric's statement - When I first saw this image my eyes almost burned & I assumed it was somehow overexposed, but it clearly is not! The color does seem a bit oversaturated - esp all the grass. Overall, I love the image though!

For myself it was fairly simple since my son plays on one of the teams. I took a couple shoots of him and then went and spoke with the league president who was coaching the other team. They had a photographer come out and do the team photos and all but the resulting images were fair but not what you would expect. Example is the team photo with 2 rows the front being well lit and the back row drowned in the shadows. So they asked if I would care to be the league photographer. Hope this leads to getting a bigger faster lens myself.
