Good composition, I wouldn't crop it any at all. It is on the dark side, you could try to bring up the midtones in photoshop.

I would crop it like this so there is no horse in front since you didn't get the whole horse there (too bad!). I used took out the back leg with the white bandage and also brightened it up a touch by running levels in PS.

I got a very similar shot to yours and I think it looks better cropped. I only wish there was more track between the lead horse and the others the dirt flying gives it away.

W0w, the horses.look like they are coming off the page! I am not sure which way to go with the crop, but it seems to me that the color saturation is a tad overdone. Those silks are practically glowing like they are radioactive.
