Default High flying orca trainer.

I was wondering if I got the composition right on this image. Any other Critiques are welcome. This was my first day out with my shiny new D90.

Camera: Nikon D90
Lens: AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-105MM F/3.5-5.6G ED VR
Exposure: 1/500sec
Aperture: f/10
ISO:400
Focal Length: 105mm
Flash: No Flash

Leviathanfafner, IMO you should use multi-shot option so you can choose the best one, since they ar in movement, it is difficult to capture tehm in the best part of the show

I did use the continuous feature on my camera and this the shot I ended up liking. I got a few more shots I like from that show as well on my flicker page.

I went to your flickr, your 18-2 IMO has more impact because of the body of the killer whale is on the air and you can compare against the audience of the show

Really cool shot. I looked for the other one on your flickr page, and you live by me. I take pictures at that abandoned building with all the graffiti on it too.

Good subject. Just a tip, in future you can plan your shot. You should decide the subject, Whale only, Whale & Diver. Try to exclude what is not needed. Find good spot to get a close up. Practice your AIM. Try to anticipate what the subject is going to do.
