Hello all,
Here is a panning photo I took during the Red Bull Air Race in San Diego. Does the main subject come out clear enough? Also, what do you think about the exposure, crop, and color? I did a little bit of color correction using Windows Live Gallery, I don't have any professional level photo editing software. I'm also new to color correction. I just tried to make it look good to me. Any other suggestions would also be welcome. If anybody is interested in seeing the other pictures from the day, the album is here: Red Bull Air Race - San Diego Thanks for your time, Mike ![]() Camera: Nikon D40 Exposure: 0.008 sec (1/125) Aperture: f/16.0 Focal Length: 200 mm Focal Length: 201.6 mm ISO Speed: 200 Exposure Bias: -1/3 EV |

Hi there and welcome to this brilliant site, I really hope you enjoy your time here.
I love this image, I know how hard it is to capture such a fast moving target and you have done a fine job with this image. I saw a photo the other day in the news papers here in the UK of one of the aircraft having a "Bird Strike" with a pelican!! I see there wasn't a lot left of the poor thing after the strike!! The only thing I would change about this is probably crop it slightly to allow us to see more detail in the aircraft. But other than that its a really cracking image. Well done and I look forward to seeing more
