Hi, this is my first post, so I hope I get this right!
I have been asked by a couple of friends of mine to take photos of them racing their motorbikes. They love the pics but I would like a more "professional" opinion too. If anyone can give me any advice/tips on panning etc., and any areas where you can see I might be able to improve, whether it be technique or technical points, it would be much appreciated!! ![]() Camera: Nikon D90 Lens: Nikkor 55-200mm VR Aperature: f14 Speed: 1/60 ISO: 200 Focal length: 180mm |

Here's one idea.
Generally, it's important to leave 'space' for a moving subject to move into. But motorcyclists (not so) secretly rejoice in their speed. So maybe leave even more 'space' that they've left behind them in their dust.

I think this is a great shot. Nice and clear...nice motion. Good job.

your panning seems right on to me, nice capture. I like the previous comment to leave space behind to see dust.

Hi,
I like doing panning shots and just recently done a few on Bike as well but not racing. Fell free to share with you. http://gavingoh.wordpress.com/2009/0...stombike-show/ I'm taking the point as well from this post, leaving "space" which I had not thought of that Cheers. |
