Default Panning Motorbike Race

Hi, this is my first post, so I hope I get this right!

I have been asked by a couple of friends of mine to take photos of them racing their motorbikes. They love the pics but I would like a more "professional" opinion too.

If anyone can give me any advice/tips on panning etc., and any areas where you can see I might be able to improve, whether it be technique or technical points, it would be much appreciated!!

Here's one idea.

Generally, it's important to leave 'space' for a moving subject to move into. But motorcyclists (not so) secretly rejoice in their speed. So maybe leave even more 'space' that they've left behind them in their dust.

your panning seems right on to me, nice capture. I like the previous comment to leave space behind to see dust.

Hi,
I like doing panning shots and just recently done a few on Bike as well but not racing. Fell free to share with you. http://gavingoh.wordpress.com/2009/0...stombike-show/
I'm taking the point as well from this post, leaving "space" which I had not thought of that Cheers.
