Default Golfers bunker shot

I took this last week with my Sigma 70-200mm F2.8.

I wanted to get the ball golfer sand and a bit of movement.

I think that perhaps the ball should have been more but im generally pleased.

Small crop and slight saturation tweak.

DSC_6116 copy

Camera: Nikon D90
Exposure: 1/2500 sec
Aperture: f/4.0
Focal Length: 70 mm
ISO Speed: 200
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Flash: No Flash

Does the foreground (blurred grass) distract from the image or does it add depth?

I think the grass in the foreground is ok. It doesn't really distract me. It looks a good bit oversaturated to me, but you can blame my monitor if you want. I'm at work and the colors on my pictures often look off when viewed here. It just seems very very saturated. And what's up with the horizon? It doesn't look anywhere close to straight (looking at the roofline of the building on the right), but some of the trees on the left seem vertical...

try a tighter crop..the background is distracting and takes away from an otherwise nice shot. Here's how I'd crop it is I had taken.

Jim, you forgot to mention that the golfer himself is under exposed and that it looks like you corrected that in your crop.

Tell your mate he should keep his left arm straighter through the shot. It looks like he is trying to flip the club under the ball - you can see it by the way his right hand has rolled over the left
