Default Lighting the Liquor Store Gap @ Night

Lighting and composition? I was a little unsure where to shoot this from. I'm fairly please with it just think it could be better. Also where would you have positioned the rim light? It seems like its mostly just highlighting his butt..

I would have stuck the light to light him from the front.

i like this shot, and the lighting is good but usually when i shoot a gap like this, i put the lighting off to their side/front (depending on whether they're regular or goofy..) so you get more dramatic light right on the subject and more contrast against the background. i would say go back to that ledge and shoot it till you get something that really jumps out at you as far the lighting. but otherwise really strong shot.

or even on second thought you could just download the trial version of adobe lightroom if you dont have it already. you can use it for a month for free which is tight, and you wouldnt have to re-shoot this. you could just add some PP lighting.

For me the composition works. Lighting is also very good. His jacket seems to blend slightly with the background but not much of an issue. If you were to change the light I would place it to the bottom edge of the loading dock slightly to the front. Otherwise a solid image.
