Red face Running for Daylight

This was my first effort at photographing a rugby match. Not really knowing a lot about the sport, and not having done much sport photography, I was hoping for some thoughts from others on how I might improve my skill in this area.

Thanks for the help.

Camera: Nikon D70s
Exposure: 1/4000 sec
Aperture: f/11.0
Focal Length: 210 mm
ISO Speed: 1600
Exposure Bias: +5/3 EV
Flash: No Flash

Kevin:

I like the shot overall. I like how you left room for the player to go into it... A tighter crop on the person carrying the ball would have made the shot a little better. The player at the bottom left corner is a little distracting to the ball carrier.

Just my thought!
