Default Jet Skier

Hi All

Just joined this community last night. Attached is a shot I took last year. Some basic post processing using photoshop CS2 (I am still a newbie to the software). Any comments welcome.

Shooting Data

Camera : Nikon D700 with vertical grip
Lens : Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 with 1.7x teleconverter
Shutter speed : 1/1000
Aperture: f 4.8
Exposure compensation : +1 EV

Hello and welcome to DPS,

I find your shot very interesting but there are a few things i would change.

I would like to see a bit more room in front of the boat to travel into.
The colors are alitle soft to me i used to have one just like this one and from what i recall the colors were a bit more vivid.
What iso did you use? How far were you from your subject? the subject and photo seem to have a lot of noise, it would be normal if you have a high ISO or if you did a really big crop.

i have to agree with barabe. and also i would have slowed the shutter speed down a little to give a fast moving effect...a slightly blurred background would of added alot
