Default The Return

This was shot at a local high school tennis match. With high school tennis in Maryland all spectators must stand 10 feet behind the fenced courts. Some coaches will allow you to step to the fence and take a few shots while others will not. This shot was taken from the 10 foot line and I had to focus through the chain links. Any suggestions on composition or other all suggestions for improvements would be greatly appreciated. I have another match today as long as the rain holds off.

Camera Data: Nikon D80, Nikkor 80-200mm f2.8D, ISO 100 shot on aperture priority, f2.8 at 1/1250 second. Center weighted metering.

Great job on stopping the player's action! It's so hard focusing through a fence (I've had to do it many a time at my sons' baseball games.) It's hard to keep the background in mind with so much movement, but in this particular shot my eye is drawn to the white door. Also, is it possible to get some height on your angle (such as using a small ladder, etc)? That may help get more of the net out of your shots.

I agree w Susan. I would have like dto have seen this shot from just a bit higher. The net is very distracting - especially since it goes across the middle of the shot.
