Just wanted ti get some input on this shot it s from a college rodeo in Odessa, Texas and it was kinds hard for me to get some good shots. Wanted to know about it overall but mainly the composition and the clarity of the image and maybe some pointers to help in the future.

You did a good job in a tough place to shoot photos.
The open door to camera left has caused a lot of flare on the left side of the frame. Also the bright light from the open door is slightly distracting. If you shot the photo one or two seconds earlier it might not be in there. Can you crop the image so it just shows the guy bringing the bull down? I realize that it is probably pretty dark in there, is there anyway you can shoot without a flash? Maybe stand in one of the open doors? I'm thinking the open doors might throw some additional light in. If you need to use a flash, try bouncing the flash off the ceiling. You may or may not have enough power. But you won't have the problem with the flash reflecting in the horses eyes. You may also consider running your photos thru a noise reduction program like Noiseware or Neat Image because there is a lot of noise. They both have free versions of the program you can try out. |
