Default He makes the save!

Took this shot of our goalie getting snowed. He made the save. This was one of the better lit rinks I've been in so I thought I could crank the ISO down to 800. Does the goalie look sharp even though there is a little motion blur on the other kids?

Thanks!

You did well. I understand about the ISO and the XTi. I have to jump all the way to 1600 when I'm taking basketball shots.

I looked at the larger view on flickr and the goalie is sharp and I like the blur of the other players.

Thanks Lori. It seems like it took me all season long to figure out the best settings to get what I wanted. Now it's over for awhile. I'll have to figure out something else to take picuters of now. :-)
Thanks for looking.

Verry nice action capture here, we almost feel the intensity of the game.
You say is`t over, are they not going into playoff this time of year?

No sadly we are done. It was a fun year and looking at my pictures from begining to end I see improvement. See it's not all about the kids. :-)

Thanks Jim, coming from a pro I take that as a huge compliment.

I think this is a great picture. I think the goalie does look sharp enough and I love how you also captured a sense of movement and the spray of snow is great.

Being a goalie myself I also love that he made the save!! Excellent job!!
