Default Another Panning attempt

This is another panning shot that I attempted at the AEROINDIA2009 show. For those interested, the jet in the pic is the HAWK. Please tell me the areas where I can improve...Any comments are appreciated.

Camera: Nikon D80
Expsure: 1/125
Aperture: F14
ISO:100

Understanding that it is easier said than done, I'd prefer to see the entire jet in the frame.

Take a portable step ladder with you to stand on, so the fence won't be in the way.

I got a quick quick question as to panning. How do you set your focus? Manually or do you use auto focus?

I use Autofocus with AF-C with my Nikon D80. AF-C enables your camera to continually focus on moving objects. Not sure if it's a good idea to use manual focus, especially since, with moving objects, your focal length keeps changing. Never tried it !

Hi. Just a correction, the jet is in fact a F-18 Hornet.

I agree with the others on improvements, but I just gotta say, I think this is a good shot. Panning isn't easy - at least it isn't for me!
