Default 2008 NASCAR Season Champion

I'm always working on my photos. I took this photo at Charlotte in October. I figured it was a great sponsor shot as I managed to have him lined up between two Lowe's signs.
This is a lower resolution copy of the original . . . which is hiding on a different computer.
I think I captured the motion okay but I was wondering about composition and possible cropping.

Welcome!

Very nice shot.

On the crop, the only thing I feel comortable in suggesting is to get rid of the grass - to me, it adds an unnecessary element to the pic.

Otherwise, I'm not sure. I do like how you line up the car between the 2 "Lowe's" words, but don't like quite as much how the front of the car is a bit too close to the edge of the frame. Not much space for the car to drive into. I really don't know what to suggest in terms of a fix, though.

Maybe someone else will chime in?

Indeed, welcome!!!

Idk, I kind of like the grass showing a little but I do feel that the car is just a tad too far on the left. Getting the line in the shot would have been great. You did an awesome job lining the car up between the sponsor signs!! I imagine that would be really difficult to do. Overall nice job.

Thanks for your kind words!!!
My biggest problem with my racing pictures . . . is that I'm taking them from fan areas. I'd love to be a credentialed photographer. But, I'm not. *crossing fingers and wishing*
I agree with both comments.
I like the edge of grass myself. I fear that if you lost the bottom border of grass the pavement would be too much.
I'm going to have to work on my drivers and get them to pose their cars better. *chuckles* I'm working on my timing for positioning the cars. However, I'm still largely hit-and-miss. But, I am getting pretty good focus and wheel motion.
So, I'm getting there.
Thanks!!!
