Default The runner

Picture was taken from the car, I had no idea that there was a marathon that day. Was in Nakijin, Okinawa JP, the road of this place are one go and one come. I was in the intersection to continue with my family trip.

It's from the side and mostly the back. Could be anyone in the race. What you needed was get down near the finish nine and take it then.

in order to get a good critique, you'll need to read the rules/guidelines for the critique section and include the information they ask for. Thank you in advance for doing so and then editing your post!

I agree with Jim. The panning technique was executed well. The composition and perspective needs some work.

You stated this was a spur of the moment shot, and for that, you did very well. For the image to be stronger:
1. That spectator has to go
2. Your perspective needed to be from the front to allow for the runner to run to and past you. Also, it may also capture runners behind
3. A tighter crop is in order
