Default EMU Men's Vs. CMU Basketball

So I was at my first EMU men's game yesterday in a while. I guess I had a little bit of practice with the women's game but I still felt a little rusty. At any rate, I'm gonna post another one of my almost shots.

From Michigan Exposures

The fun stuff:
Model Canon EOS 50D
ISO 12800
Exposure 1/500 sec
Aperture 4.5
Focal Length 53mm

And why I said this one is an almost....I don't have the basket in the shot and I don't have his full face. Do you guys think those would have helped this shot?

Framing wise I don't think you need to have the basket in the frame to tell the story. I would however, reframe so the shooters back is more to the right and eliminate that empty space behind him...that would also bring more of the defender into the shot. Nice stop action. I looked at the larger version and saw a lot of grain then came back and noticed iso of 12,800. Wow considering that it held together pretty well. Nice timing on the shot too.
