This last weekend I was at the Eastern Michigan-Toledo Game. Since I was focusing on Eastern and they were pummeled, I didn't get too many chances to get shots that I liked of them. Anyway, here is the shot I kind of liked.
The Fun Stuff: ISO 640 Exposure 1/320 sec Aperture 6.3 Focal Length 170mm I kind of like the composition of this shot. It's got the threes. I was shooting into the sun, so the lighting is a little washed out. And since they were from Toledo, I was shooting at their backs. But for some reason, I still like it. Again, I may need to pull the camera out a bit to get their feet. What else might help? |

Maybe if the qb was getting sacked......back of backs say nothing, unless it's a great action play. It's just my opinion. If I turned this in, my editors would chew my ass. You need to shoot at your lowest f-stop to blur out the background more. It'll also give you a high shutter speed and your eye will travel to point of action.

Now, do you want to get kick as shots of the winner or so so shots of the loosers?
The name of the game is capturing top notch sports action.

Hopefully Saturday I wont have that problem and I'll get a shot of a warped touchdown cannon because it's been fired so much. |
