I shot this during the summer at my son's baseball game. What do you think? This is all very new to me.

not bad! However, most of the parents want to see faces of their kids, not the backs. GO stand on either the first base line or third base line. Both those locations will give you good angles of home plate.

I like it.
My son is also a catcher, and I find it difficult to get a good angle that shows the face. If you are on the first base side, left handed batters block the shot, right handed hitters block from the 3rd base side. Bats can get in the way, gloves, there are so many variables... So what you have there is a nice clean shot.
