"How do you save a picture that you've edited in LR3 as a jpeg?"
You have to use the export button in the library module, bottom of left pane. IT lets you choose options like resize, watermark, file renaming, output sharpening, etc. "I do all this work to the photos and then I have no idea how to just say "ok, good. now make this a jpeg so I can get it up to Zenfolio"." LR3 has publish features, it comes with facebook, flickr, and smugmug options, and you can find plugins for other services including Zenfolio. The bottom of the left pane in the library module. Check out some of the tutorials on Adobe TV or youtube for publishing services in LR3. |

Concur with the above reply. Just start exploring the Export function and you'll find all sorts of ways to "export" (i.e., save) your photos to various locations that work well in your workflow. I've got lots of different presets set up to export photos to email; to another Lightroom folder; to Flickr; to Smugmug; and just to the same LR3 files/catalog but with different sizes or file types. In addition, at that point you can add watermarks, add sharpening for outputs, etc. The presets are pretty easy to maneuver--just hit the "plus" button and set it up the way you want, then hit save.
Hope that helps!
