Nice timing on the shot. (I hope that cowboy didn't get hung up on his stirrup.)
The subject looks sharp at the resolution you uploaded, and if you wanted to freeze the action solid, you succeeded. The background is quite busy, which takes a bit away from the impact of the shot. The next time you shoot a rodeo, you might want to try for a less confused background, perhaps by shooting from a bit higher up (so the cowboy's head isn't intersected by boundaries between areas of high contrast). Another thing that might help would be shooting with a wide enough aperture to blur the background more. The shot is tilted significantly, which should be fixed in post. Finally, critique board rules ask that you show the important Exif data from the shot, which would help with the critique. HTH
