I have been practicing with the customizable picture style, instead of using the landscape, standard, etc.my 1st question is, do you think the image is too sharp? i have only cropped it nothing else, and i know having the subject in the middle is not ideal, but i dont know how else i would have cropped it without having alot of empty space.

dlkight,
First of all: Overall, it's not bad. However, I think a side shot would've been more ideal. But I know you didn't ask about composure critique lol. Sharpness: I'm one of those people that strives to have the main subject really sharp in an image. If I don't attain this in the original shot, I'll do as much as I can in post processing to fake it. I've even thrown out some overall decent shots, just because the original subjects weren't sharp enough for me. So for this image, I'd actually like to see the dog sharper. But it still isn't bad the way it is. Cropping: I understand why you'd have a hard time choosing where to crop for this image, because the dog isn't really leading into a spot in the picture. But I'll post a cropped version below of how I would probably do it. I hope this helps you out a little, David

Not a problem! Yeah, after I said that, I figured it might have been you throwing the ball lol. But I look forward to seeing more of your shots.
