Taken at the USC v Arkansas game 2. Unfortunately, they no longer allow telephoto lenses, so this was the best I could do.

Yes, we have season tickets and they're four rows off the field on the first base side. I so wish they would allow me to bring my telephoto lens again. I LOVE baseball! Thank you for the compliment!!

One of the major reasons why they don't allow telephoto at games is they don't want the images appearing for sale by the general public on FlickR, Ebay, or Craigs lists. Major League Baseball can offer info on how to purchase a license fee so that you can sale
photos, however, they are very expensive. Each MLB team has a team photographer that photographs games and the photos are property of MBL. Colleges, normally have a photo student/student newspaper photographer/staff photographer or contract photographer that covers the games. However, all the photos are property of the school to do as they please; alumni magazines, their sports magazine covers, website, calendars, posters, press releases and such. NCAA also wants a percentage of sales, so if you sell the photos and word gets back to them they will sue you for non payment of funds. Most colleges I deal with will take at least 25% or more.
