Default First attempt at Sports: Soccer

Camera: Canon EOS 60D
Tv: 1/400
Av: f/5.6
Shooting Mode: Shutter Priority
Metering Mode: Evaluative
Focal Length: 200mm
ISO Speed: 125
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Flash Off
Focus Mode: AI Servo AF
Lens Type: Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6

My first attempt at sports photography. The background is really distracting, but it also gives an industrial and rugged look to the picture. The broken and rusty goal posts adds to this mood. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated?

Don't change anything about it...

I like it and I would put it on my wall

You need to zoom in closer with your 300mm. There's way too much space on the right hand side.

Cool shot. I wouldn't say there is "way too much space" on the right hand side but I would probably crop a little of that out.

Thanks for the replies and suggestions. I made a mistake with the EXIF data: the focal length was 200mm (and not 70mm).
