Default First Post-Baseball Game

These are a couple of shots I took at a recent Rangers game. I go to the games quite often and would like to learn how to get better shots. I included shots from two different sets of seats for different angles. On the first set I know my shutter speed was too slow, but am not quite sure what else could be done to help. On the second set I was behind the netting and dont know if there is a way to not have it show up. Any useful critiques would be greatly appreciated. I am new to this art, so please dumb it down.

fyi...these were taken with a Canon Rebel XS with a Tamron 18-270 lens. Both sets of seats were on the second level of the stadium.

Doing this kind of photography, you'll need something shooting at a faster apeture. That way you'll get more of it in focus. It seems to blurry for each element in the frame.
I think you need to post more deets on the pic too... what length it was shot, ap, exposure, shutter, etc.
